Week 4 of our summer break was a bit hectic for us. We were finishing swim lessons, so that took up a few of our days. Ryan and I went to a teacher appreciation game at Wrigley, and I had a girls weekend in the city. So we spent more of our time close to home, going to the library, the park, etc. We did however make it to the Kohl's Children Museum that week. Gav was having a rough time this week, and though you can't tell from the pictures, we dealt with a lot of tantrums this week, including several public and highly embarrassing ones at the museum! Ah, parenthood! But luckily, tantrums tend to disappear as quickly as they come on, and Gav has been in a much better mood lately (knock on wood!). Here are some pics from the museum, as well as some from just hanging out around the house:
It's interesting that every time we go to the Children's Museum, Gavin has a new favorite exhibit. Last time, the cars were his favorite. This time, it was definitely the music area.
Showing off his percussive talents.
Time for a little grocery shopping.
Mesmerized by the rotisserie.
Checking the nutrition facts on the chocolate milk.
Check out time!
Toddler discoteca or "car wash?" And the answer is...
...car wash! Here is Gav sharing the car that looks like it has a giant lego for an engine.
Bernoulli's principle is always a crowd pleaser.
Declan is already embarrassed of how nerdy I am (and this is one of many pics that we took over the last few weeks where I have serious crazy face going on)
Water works joy (and geez, aprons sure are cute on toddlers!)
"Look Mom, it's not time for a nap!"
Declan is turning out to be quite the little daredevil. He loves to be thrown around, hung upside down, he tries to jump out of my arms and off the couch the second he is done with his bottle. I imagine this kid has a least a few casts in his future.
Can't a girl get in an ab workout without adding 20 pounds of baby to routine?! :)
